Our founder
Primate Gabriel Oladunni (JP, DD)
Born in 1938 at Ikare Akoko, Ondo State, Primate Gabriel Oladunni established New Temple Church in June 1962 at 5 Banire Street, Olorunsogo, Mushin, Lagos. From a single congregation, the church grew into branches across Nigeria and overseas under his ministry from 1960 to 1998.
He passed unto glory on 18 February 1998. Every May, the church honours his legacy through the Overcomer’s Mountain climb and a remembrance thanksgiving service at Ikare Akoko.
Since the founder’s passing, the church has been led by successive Spiritual Heads, continuing the mission he began and expanding the work into two zones with districts and branches across Nigeria, and a growing overseas presence.
